Masks and Gear Returns, Warranty and Cancellations Policy

At Oceans Optics, your happiness means the world to us. We are all about making your underwater adventures amazing, and we are here to help if something is not quite right.
1. 30 Day Return Window (from Delivery)
You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to request a return or exchange. To qualify, your item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition you received it.
Your return should be fully completed within this 30 day window. If there is a delay caused by us, or you have reached out within that timeframe and are waiting on our reply, you will still be covered. However, if we do not hear back after your initial request and the 30 days pass, the return will no longer be eligible.
2. Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive a defective or incorrect item, email us as soon as possible at info@oceanoptics.com. We will make it right by arranging a replacement or refund.
3. Change of Mind Returns
Changed your mind. No worries, we have got you covered.
That said, we care deeply about reducing waste and promoting sustainability, so we always encourage you to choose carefully and reach out for professional guidance before ordering if you are unsure.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on change of mind returns. We do not charge restocking fees.
Delivery Timing
If your item arrived within the estimated delivery window, even if it was not as early as you hoped, return shipping costs will still be your responsibility.
Holiday and Trip Timing
Returns are not eligible if your mask arrived within our expected delivery timeframe (up to 14 days plus or minus 5 days) but did not reach you before your trip. We strongly recommend ordering well ahead of travel dates to ensure your mask arrives in time.
4. Order Cancellations
We begin preparing many orders quickly, especially prescription masks, so we ask that cancellations are requested as soon as possible.
Cancellation Window
Orders may be cancelled within 6 hours of purchase by contacting us at info@oceanoptics.com.
Cancellation Fee
A $10 cancellation and processing fee applies to all cancelled orders. This covers non refundable payment processing fees and the time spent reviewing, checking, and preparing your order.
Orders Already in Processing
Once prescription lenses are in production or mask assembly has begun, orders can no longer be cancelled or changed.
Important Timing Note
We are not a same day or express service. Orders cannot be cancelled due to personal travel timing if they fall within our stated delivery estimates. If you have a tight deadline, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm what is realistic.
5. Sizing and Prescription Accuracy
We want you to love your mask and lenses from the very first dive. Because every lens is made to order, it is important that your prescription comes directly from a qualified optometrist and is not an estimate or guess.
If your return is due to the lenses not providing clear vision, we may ask for a copy of your prescription to confirm the order was placed correctly. If you are unable to provide it, your return may not be eligible.
For reasons related to sizing or prescription accuracy, refunds are issued as store credit so you can get the right mask.
Pro Guidance Exception
If you contacted our team with your prescription and measurements before ordering and we confirmed the mask would be a good match, your order will be eligible for a full refund or exchange if it does not work out.
6. 6 Month Limited Warranty
All Oceans Optics masks come with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing defects.
If you notice an issue, email info@oceanoptics.com with photos and details and we will help you get it sorted.
Covered
Manufacturing defects such as cracks or seal issues not caused by wear.
A Quick Note on Buckles
Our buckles are designed for comfort and easy adjustment and should always be handled gently. If a buckle breaks due to a manufacturing defect, it is fully covered under warranty. Damage caused by pulling, twisting, or over tightening is not considered a defect. Replacement parts are available at cost price.
7. Prescription Lens Appearance
Prescription lenses are naturally tapered along the edges. This is completely standard across all prescription masks. The stronger the prescription, the more noticeable this taper may be.
Please refer to the lens diagram on each product page before ordering.
Masks are not eligible for return based on lens appearance or slight differences in viewing area compared to standard tempered glass masks.
8. Non Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
Custom masks with different lens strengths in each eye
Snorkels and mask cases
Gift cards and digital downloads
Items marked as final sale or clearance
9. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Start a return using the “Start a Return” page found in the main menu, or email info@oceanoptics.com with your order number and details.
We will send clear step by step instructions. Items must be securely packed in original packaging with all accessories included. Trackable shipping is required.
If the return is due to our error or a defect, we will provide a prepaid return label.
10. Refunds and Processing
Once your return is received, we will inspect it and notify you of approval.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
Exchanges are shipped as soon as the return is processed.
11. Exceptions and Exclusions
Items returned in used, damaged, or incomplete condition may qualify for a partial refund or no refund.
Sale items, discounted items, gift cards, and items bought with discount codes are final sale.
Returns requested after 30 days are not accepted.
Any free gifts must also be returned to receive a full refund.
12. International Returns
For orders outside the United States, return shipping costs, duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or sent in error.

Environmental Note
Please avoid ordering multiple masks with the intention of returning them. Use our guides and expert advice to choose correctly the first time.

We offer replacements or refunds if your merch arrives with a manufacturing defect, printing error, or production damage. Contact us within 20 days of delivery with clear photos. No return is required.

Unsuccessful Deliveries

Print placement differences up to 0.5 inches are considered normal and not a defect.
