Allowed my daughter to snorkel and see everything!
My daughter has bad eyesight, -7.5 prescription. She doesnt do well with contacts so wears glasses all the time. Without them she cannot see 3 feet in front of herself. These were so easy to order, arrived quickly and allowed her to really enjoy our snorkel trip to St. Croix. They worked great, no issues with using them. Thank you so much for this!!
We ordered a pair of prescription goggles for our trip to Hawaii and couldn’t be more pleased with our purchase. Shipping was quick and they worked great!
I ordered this mask for my trip to Thailand, and it came I pretty fast! I ordered the white mask/fin/snorkle set and backpack to carry it all in, I felt so cute and everything worked so much better than the gear I would rent in the past. Thanks Ocean Optics! I love you guys and your mission.
The goggles were a perfect fit and did not leak or fog as much after I took the steps they suggested to defog , my entire purchase was amazing from beginning to end. Highly recommend !
We ordered three and we all can see great. Good quality. Only complaint one was supposed to have GoPro attachment and didn’t but did not have time to return before our trip. Other wise very happy.
The last time I went snorkeling (more than 10 years ago) I wore contacts. At age 65, glasses only. I thought I was done snorkeling, until I found these! They worked perfectly! I could see the fish. And at around 80 bucks for the mask and a breather tube, it's a bargain. They charge like $25 to rent them at the beaches when you go on a cruise (and it is gross using something that was in someone else's mouth!) I highly recommend these if you are near-sighted and want to snorkel.
Had no idea that I could order a prescription mask for my husband! Ended up being the best gift ever for our trip to Cozumel. Amazing mask and spot on!
What is the difference between nearsighted and farsighted lenses?
Nearsighted (Myopia) Lenses: These lenses have a negative sphere (SPH) value and correct distance vision. Farsighted (Hyperopia) Lenses: These lenses have a positive SPH value and correct close-up vision.
How do I find the sphere (SPH) value on my prescription?
The SPH value is usually in the first column of your prescription, marked as "SPH" or "Sphere." A negative number indicates nearsightedness, while a positive number indicates farsightedness.
How Should I Adjust My Prescription for Clear Vision Underwater?
Prescription Adjustment for Underwater Clarity: To achieve clear and accurate vision underwater, we recommend selecting a lens strength that is 0.50 to 0.75 diopters weaker than your regular prescription. This adjustment helps to compensate for the magnification effect that occurs underwater, reducing the risk of distortion.
Example: Your Regular Prescription: Right Eye (OD): Sphere = -2.75; Left Eye (OS): Sphere = -3.50. Recommended Lens Strength: Right Eye (OD): Sphere = -2.00; Left Eye (OS): Sphere = -3.00.
Can I choose a lens strength that isn’t listed in the dropdown?
The lenses listed are the only ones available for the specific mask in the listing. If your exact strength isn’t available, select a lens that stays within the recommended adjustment range of 0.50 to 0.75 diopters weaker than your regular prescription. This ensures you maintain clear and accurate vision underwater within a safe and effective range.
Can I choose different lens strengths for each eye?
Yes, you can select different lens strengths for each eye based on your individual prescription. We offer a range of lens strengths, and you can mix and match any combination if available in our dropdown menu.
How do I upload my prescription during checkout?
You don’t need to upload your prescription. If you require specific lens strengths or have questions about your order, please send us a message through the online chat or email us at info@oceansoptics.com. We’re happy to help ensure you get the correct lenses for your needs.
What happens if I accidentally choose the wrong lens strength?
Contact customer support immediately if you choose the wrong strength. We may be able to correct the order, depending on the processing stage.
Are your lenses safe for both snorkeling and scuba diving?
Yes, all our lenses are certified HD Tempered glass, safe for both snorkeling and scuba diving up to 100ft.
How long does it take to receive lenses, and can I track my order?
Orders typically take 7-14 days to process. You will receive a tracking number via email once shipped.
What is your return or exchange policy for prescription lenses?
Your Satisfaction, Guaranteed.
We want you to love your new mask, but if for any reason you're not completely satisfied, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to return it. Get in touch and send it back to us, and we’ll take care of the rest. For more information on our 30-day returns, visit our full policy on Oceans Optics.
